ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Suraj Gurung is a travel writer and wildlife photographer based in Gangtok. His works have been featured in various publications, including travel magazines, dailies and online portals, such as the International Union for Conservation (IUCN) Hornbill Specialist Group newsletter and Sahitya Post in Kathmandu.

He was among the contributors to the Outlook Traveller Getaways - “Driving Holidays Across India,” which received the National Tourism Award 2008-2009 for Excellence in Publication in English.
